Trancoso, located in the south of the Bahia state,
is a tropical and unspoiled spot.
The nearest international airport is Porto Seguro,
at about 40 Km frorm Trancoso. Salvador is at 1 hr. flight
north from there, and Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paolo at
1hr. 30 min. flight South.
The Quadrado, or main square, although surrounded
by exclusive shops and restaurants, maintains the
charm of the fishing village it originally was.
The beaches, within walking distance from the
Quadrado, are easily reached through roads leading
north and south.
